DMC (DM Conversions Ltd.) was founded by Dave Mock in the mid 1970's where he specialized in customizing vans for local car dealerships. In the late 70s he secured contracts with Ford and Dodge to build custom vans which were sold nationwide. A Florida division was opened in 1983 (DM Conversions of Florida) which lasted until it was sold in 2001. During that time Between 1981 and 2005, dmc also secured contracts with GM and built over 15,000 custom vans, pickup trucks, SUV’s, disabled vehicles, commercial vehicles, and classic cars. DMC downsized in 2005 after then end of the van conversion era and returned to restoring classic cars. They are still in business in Butler, WI and you can visit their web site here.
