REGENCY SUBURBAN CONVERSION PACKAGES

I don't know much about the Regency Conversions company other than they were based out of Ft. Worth Texas and went out of business roughly around Jan 2009. I'm sure like most coversion companies, they did mostly vans and the odd Suburban. One of their models was called the Phantom.

Below is Chevy Suburbans between 1973 and 1991 (7th Generation) with the Regency Conversion Packages installed.

1987 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 Regency Conversion 4x2 V8 42K Miles! Absolutely Beautiful

Link to where I found this truck here.

Description: 1987 Chevrolet Suburban Regency Conversion, 2x4 with what I believe to be 42,000 original miles. I base my information on 1. a car fax I ran before I bought the vehicle, 2. the information from the previous owner, and 3. The condition of the vehicle. Because I am not the original owner (I am #3), I cannot guarantee the miles are original. You are welcome to inspect the vehicle or have someone inspect the vehicle on your behalf. The paint is in great shape, no clear coat issues, some wear and tear scratches and/or chips. The body is in great shape with just a few minor dings. The interior is clean, seats are firm, and no rip or tears, even in the drivers seat. Captains chairs in the front with duel arm rest on both seats. Radio works. Have not tested cassette. Some speakers come on and go off when driving. A/C blows cold. Vehicle starts every time even when cold. Tires are new. Rally are in great shape. The interior "mood lighting" does not come on currently. Vehicle located in Belton, Texas. Reason for selling: I collect square body chevys (I own 4) and IROC's (I own 3). I just bought a low mileage IROC and I cannot keep this suburban in my garage after it arrives. I don't want the Texas sun doing its damage to this beautiful truck, so I am offering it up. I always ask a seller, "If I was going to put another $500 or so in this vehicle, what would you recommend I spend it on" My answer to that question on this vehicle would be, to keep it original, have someone look at the radio/speakers to stop the speaker interuptions, and replace the rubber around the vent windows, as they are noisy at 75 miles per hour on the highway. Maybe a professional detail, and get the "mood lighting" working. Thats all I would do. If I don't sell it, that is my plan and then I will take it to some car shows, maybe pulling my IROC! 1988 Chevrolet Regency Suburban Regency Conversion

Description: 1988 R10 Chevy Suburban. It's 2wd with a 350 TBI motor and automatic overdrive transmission. It also has power windows and locks. In the last 6 months I've replaced the water pump, radiator hoses, belts, spark plugs, distributor wires, fuel filter, air filter, front rotors/brakes with new bearings, and it had an oil change about two months ago. The tires were also replaced a few months ago. It's very dependable and runs/drives great. The interior is clean and all original. The body/paint is rough but straight and sound. No major rust. The AC needs to be charged and a belt to get it working. The odometer is stuck and the speedometer doesn't work, all other gauges do work. It has current inspection and registration. Found on Craigslist Kingwood, Texas Dec 10, 2016 for $1500.

1990 Suburban Near Mint 4x4 Regency Suburban Custom Conversion

Description: The original owners were a retired couple from Hot Springs that used this vehicle for vacations. They bought it new in 1990. They made the decision at the end of last year to quit driving and I bought it in November from them. 118k one-owner miles. The interior is excellent, near showroom condition. Leather captains chairs front and back. Leather third row seat adjusts to recline or fold all the way flat, which was a Regency option. With the modest exception of the driver’s seat which has some light wear, all the leather chairs in the vehicle look as if they have absolutely never been used at all. The dash has had a custom cover on it since new and is also in mint condition. Regency oak custom console, dash inserts, door inserts, accessory panels and misc wood trim. Factory double hinged oak panel conceals pre-wired location for radar detector in ceiling accessory console. The Regency ceiling mounted accessory panel also contains toggle switches for cabin map lights as well as the two types of indirect "mood" lighting that they use in their lighting package. Recessed point lights under smoked glass run the length of the central oak headboard. In the rear, oak panels conceal indirect lights which wash the ceiling with light from the edges. Similar to limousine appointments. Transmission and rear end are both professionally rebuilt. I have the receipts for all the repairs. New all-terrain tires. Complete tune-up performed this last month which included computer engine analysis, new spark plugs, new spark plug wires, new fuel filter, new distributor cap, new ignition rotor, new air filter, new muffler, new Interstate battery even new windshield wipers. You can pick this truck up as-is and drive it across the country with full confidence. Keyless entry and alarm. Trailer hitch and trailer brake. All the options work including the front and rear air. Rare GM body-styled power side view mirrors. The paint is original and is excellent. Unlike other conversions, Regency Custom Conversion paints on their body striping, then clear-coats the entire truck over again straight from the factory. This has resulted in awesome sheetmetal protection. NO RUST. The 350 V-8 starts quick and purrs like new with plenty of acceleration. 4-wheel drive works as new. The truck has never been off-road. Never smoked in. Never wrecked. No body work ever. Original paint. Original everything. No fluid leaks of any type. All mechanically sound. Small hairline crack in windshield approx two inches on passenger side. Few small road debris marks on rear fender flares.
