1986 Chevrolet Suburban Silverado
Description: This thirty year old is a true survivor. It's 2wd , 4barrel carburator ,3/4 ton 12 bolt rear is ready to tow almost anything. This past summer I had the transmission rebuilt
at a reliable tranny shop in my area. It's a 3 speed turbo 400 with shift kit. Ice cold ac. Fairly new battery, radiator, heater core, starter. Tires that are like new , Cooper Discovery
235/85 16LT. Am fm cassette radio. 2 inch hitch receiver . Total front brake job witch included hoses , rotors , pads and calipers. This truck has started for me no matter how long I
let it sit. Runs smooth and steers straight just like when it was new. Rear seat folds down so a piece of 4 x 8 plywood can fit no problem with tailgate up. Rear window goes up and down
like it should. This would make a great work truck. Reliable I would drive anywhere . 40 gallon gas tank. Left rear door needs to be fixed inside the lock button came off . Minor rust
see pictures. Does not burn or leak oil. New u joints. Mileage 78,800 as of Feb 2016

1986 Chevy Suburban K10 4WD Trailering Special
Trim: Custom Deluxe 10
Exterior Color: Midnight Blue, Interior Color: Blue
Engine: 350 4 Barrel
Drivetrain: 4WD, Automatic
Mileage: 148,400 miles
Location Found: Pickerington, Ohio, USA, on Ebay
Date Found: April 16, 2016
Description: Beautiful 1986 Chevy Suburban K10 with Custom Deluxe trim (the base trim that year...vinyl seats, plain door panels, rubber floor mat...easy to keep clean!). It has its original 350
4 barrel engine ('86 was the last year for the carburetor before fuel injection arrived for '87), the rock-solid 700R4 automatic overdrive tranny that doesn't have a computer (much more
reliable than the electronic 700R4 that replaced it). It also has GM's wonderful manual-locking front hubs and a 4 wheel drive that you have to shift into...way more reliable than all of the
electronic stuff on today's 4WDs. It also has the rare "Trailering Special" package that means this truck is rated to tow trailers up to 7,000 lbs in weight...it has heavier springs, shocks,
suspension components, and brakes, along with a massive 4-core radiator that won't overheat no matter what you do to it. It was ordered with all of the good stuff necessary to go off-road with
skid plates under everything...it was built to survive a nuclear war. It was ordered with a minimum amount of "fluff"...power steering and brakes, A/C, AM-FM stereo with 4 speakers (note...
original radio needs replacement), tinted glass, tilt-wheel, intermittent wipers (switch needs replaced and is available thru "LMCTruck.com" for $27.00), full gauges, large stainless exterior
mirrors, front bumper guards, deluxe seatbelts, electric rear window, floor mats, 15x8 Rally wheels, 3.42 posi rear differential, exterior appearance group that included chrome bumpers and nicer
side trim (note...current side trim needs replaced... available thru LMC Truck for about $200), and the lower paint was originally a dark silver metallic...I would return it to that scheme when
the side trim is replaced). The truck was repainted in the original dark metallic blue at some point in the past, and the paint is decent-to-good...there are a few minor flaws, but overall the
truck looks very good. The seats and seatbelts are like new, and the rubber floor mat is decent, but the dash pad is cracked and crying out for a dash cover. All of the glass is nice with the
exception of the back window, which has a lot of scratches (also available thru LMC Truck). The only rust is behind the rear wheels on both sides (very small areas...see photos), and minor rust
bubbling in two small areas on the rear rocker panels. There is NO rust-thru anywhere else on this truck. It spent its life in TN and NC, and only recently came to OH. The odometer shows
48k. The guy I bought it from found it at an estate sale in a small town in TN and said it had been sitting for "years" after the owner passed away. I'm selling it as 148k, but it could be
48k as it's so nice. The exterior emblems are all nice, there is virtually no rust on it, the seats are nice, and it drives beautifully. The engine has 145 psi of compression or above on
all cylinders, and it has plenty of power. The only drawback to the engine is that the carb needs a rebuild at some point in the future...it starts easily but runs choppy until it's warmed
for about 3 mins. The engine also smokes for about 3 minutes, which is due to the valve seals needing to be replaced (a simple task for any auto garage)...the engine doesn't need rings or to
be rebuilt according to my mechanic. The factory A/C needs a charge and conversion to R134. The trans shifts smoothly...no issues, and has fresh fluid and filter. I also had the 4WD system
completely gone thru and lubed and it works great...this truck will plow thru 8 inches of snow like it's nothing! The brakes and suspension have been inspected, it's had a 4-wheel alignment,
and has new Gabriel Performance shocks...it rides beautifully and firmly. It also has brand new Firestone RWL Destination LE2 tires in the P265-75-R15 size, as well as a complete new exhaust
incl. a new cat converter. It has a few dents, needs rubber side trim, and a few bucks spent on minor rust repair, but it is a ROCK-SOLID towing beast.
1986 Chevy Suburban C20 Silverado Diesel 6.2L

Engine: 6.2L Diesel V8

Description: 1986 Chevrolet C20 Suburban. 6.2L Diesel Motor. Motor has been rebuilt and has approx 60,00 miles, transmission was rebuilt in 2014 and has approx 15,000 miles on it. Body
of vehicle has approx 250,000 miles and was garage kept for first 27 years! We are only the second owners of this vehicle. Very little cosmetic issues considering the age of the vehicle.
Many extras! Runs and drives great! Driven at least weekly currently! Features: Power windows, power locks, AC, Cruise control, tinted windows, towing mirrors, running boards, grill
guard, fog lamps, cloth interior. Includes 3rd row seat (would make it hold 8 passengers) but is not installed yet. Tires are in good condition with at least 75% tread left on.
Has new brakes. Has a small dent in the passenger side door where the towing mirror attaches (see pic). Other than that, no body damage noted other than some very minimal rust
and dents, etc. Gets approximately 17-18 mpg. This is a rare find, looking for that special buyer who appreciates the value of this classic suburban. This is a beautiful, unique SUV.
As the saying goes "They don't make them like they used to". With the body in such fantastic shape and the rebuilt trans and motor, this vehicle has LOTS of life left. With diesel
prices down, this is a unique vehicle for the family or your collection.
1986 Chevrolet Suburban Silverado Trailering Special
Exterior Color: Canyon Copper / Doeskin Tan, Interior Color: Saddle
Engine: 5.7L 350 V8
Drivetrain: 4WD, Automatic
Mileage: 106,000 miles
Location Found: Boise, Idaho, USA (Ebay)
Date Found: Sept 26, 2016
Description: One of the few survivor 80's era Chevy Suburban’s around, particularly a 3/4 ton. A true time capsule back to 1986, extremely original. A reliable, quiet and comfortable
ride, exceptionally clean. 1986, purchased new in Tacoma WA at Vista Chevrolet. Soon thereafter moved to southern Idaho with the original owner, traceable via hardcopy records. At 30
years of age, this Suburban has experienced pride of ownership, well taken care of, absent from abuse and/or extensive exposure to elements. 106k well documented miles. This vehicle
has a stack-up of its original docs, window sticker, option and cost list, dealership info, GM id card (vin w/ original purchaser), maintenance records and receipts, vehicle manuals,
etc. Its equipped with its factory 350ci, TH350 automatic, 4x4, 4.11 locking rear differential, A/C, tilt steering, cruise, PW, PDL, aux battery, cargo doors, 3rd row seating, bumper
guards, factory deep tint glass, trailering package, 40gal fuel tank, etc. It rides on its factory steel wheels/hub caps, and 235/85/R16E Kelly Safari tires. Approximately 7-months ago I
installed a very mild 2. 5-inch Pro-Comp soft-ride suspension lift and shocks, mainly to improve overall ride quality and to complement its stance. I have the original front leaf springs
and u-bolts. Paint scheme is Canyon Copper with Tan. Original sheet metal is as straight as they come, with 95% original paint in very good condition, holding its smooth glossy finish.
Residing primarily in the dry high-desert climate of southern Idaho, it has yielded an eye-brow raising rust free body and clean chassis/undercarriage. A quality repaint on front fender at
some point, never found evidence of damage (possible replaced fender). Small ding on passenger side door dime size not visible in pics because of size. Small bolt holes exist under front
doors (rocker lip) where steps once resided (I have those steps in a box). There are no flaws in body in form of major damage, dents or scratches. Interior/upholstery amazing, one crack on
a very nice original dash pad, directly in front of steering wheel. Factory radio has couple display pixels out, but radio works as it should. Headliner has spots where fabric is separating
from cardboard. A/C system 100% intact, needs charge. Wiring, harnessing, hoses etc within engine bay and under-dash as it was from factory (not hacked, spliced, or jerry-rigged as seen with
many older trucks).
